Family Tree Maker 2013 Wishlist - Message Boards - Ancestry.co.uk

Appreciating that this thread hasn't been updated for a while, and now that FTM2013 is not happening - I thought I'd just say how very impressed I am with the stability and performance (compared to earlier editions) of FTM 2012 following all the updates to date.

Yes have seen the very occasional glitch, and slow performance at getting the people index pane painted or a search via the web completed, but it has very much improved over the year... keep up the good work, and I am really looking forward to seeing some/all of the ideas above get moved forward...

For the avoidance of doubt, I too suffer with lots of duplications, orphans, islands and odd branches in the tree that are hard to find and visually see. I have spent many evenings getting FTM to paint a chunk of the tree in a chart and than scan around it looking for the duplciations and weird incomplete groups/branches that just need more work... fiddly and timeconsuming... that area does need "technology" help.

All good ideas...
