This past Saturday I was blessed with a beautiful baby shower thrown by my mom, good family friend Kellie, and longtime friend from college Jenny. When I walked in my mouth must have dropped because everything was so coordinated ? it looked like a Pinterest photo! My grandma, aunt, cousin and good family friends all came to celebrate our sweet boy. I was humbled by the outpouring of love I received from them and from family who couldn?t make it but sent cards and well wishes. Here are the pictures from the day?
The theme of the shower was based on my Treetop Friends nursery theme. They had baby boy?s quilt draped over this blue rocker that I sat in to open presents.
It was fun to walk up the driveway and see this through the window. My mom made the hanging tissue balls and Jenny made the adorable diaper cake.
Kellie graciously opened her home up to host the shower. I was seated at the plate with the little nest and egg.
Close up of the table decor. My mom spray painted the white branches and made the little birds, owls, and leaves, and then glued them on.
The blessings tree. I loved this. My mom glued tiny leaves to the branches and then spray painted the whole thing white. Guests wrote down blessings for the baby and advice for me. My mom had family and friends who couldn?t make it to the shower send in their blessings/advice. It was wonderful reading them aloud to Philip in the car on the way home ? and I definitely cried a bit!

The cake! Jenny took the invitation to a local baker and this is what she came up with. It was so pretty that I didn?t want to cut it. It tasted as good as it looked!

The day was just wonderful and our little guy got so many cute things! The fun day made me even more excited about getting to have this experience again in a few weeks with a shower my Chicago friends are throwing me! This is such a joyous season in my life
