OSU sophomore still alive in Public Links

Oklahoma State sophomore Jordan Niebrugge kept the Cowboys? hopes alive in the USGA Amateur Public Links tournament at Lorton, Va., on Thursday.

Niebrugge, of Mequon, Wis., beat Canada?s Justin Shin 5 and 3 in the third round. He?ll meet Dou Zecheng in one quarterfinal match today.

Former Cowboy Ian Davis of Edmond beat Trevor Cone of Concord, N.C., 2 and 1 at the start of the day but lost to? Robby Shelton IV of Wilmer, Ala., 2 up in his third-round match. ?
