A great workspace is rarely more than good, clean organization and a few personal touches. Such is the case with Ryan Nicholson's perfectly tidy desk that finds its personality in wall-mounted records and a Mathmos "Astro" Lava Lamp. Those little touches give it a retro feel, but take the same workspace and choose a couple of other personal items and you'd have something entirely different. It goes to show that if you pick some simple furniture, you can let your own character dominate the aesthetic in the room.
