BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - He borrowed his father's cell phone and left home saying he would be back shortly.
Police say that was two days ago and a Kentucky man has not been seen or heard from since.
Barbourville police say 26-year-old Jonathan Ryan Foley's parents did find his truck last night but no sign of Foley.
Jonathan Foley's parents tell us they are worried something bad happened to him.
Foley's parents say he was going to this corner store, not far from where he lived. He even commented that he would be back in 15 minutes, but that was Tuesday and they haven't heard from him since.
"It's just like he vanished, and we can't find him," said Beverly Foley, his mother.
A quick trip to the Lee's Food Mart has turned into a nightmare for the family of 26-year-old Foley.
"I miss him, and I love him, and I just want him home. I don't know what's happened to him," said his mother.
Foley's parents tell us he has been living with them since he got back from serving in Iraq almost one year ago.
They say Tuesday Jonathan left in his own truck with his dads cell phone. And his parents actually found his abandoned truck one day later.
"As soon as we pulled behind it, his father noticed the license plate and a little sticker he had on that truck. And everything was so muddy whether it was black or blue, you couldn't tell," said his mother.
His parents say they just want their son to come home, especially with tomorrow being his birthday as well as his mother's. But in the back of their minds, they are suspicious about his disappearance.
"I think he's dead. I really do. I hate to say that," said his mother.
It is unclear whether Foley actually made it to this store. Police are still investigating and tell us they do not have any leads in this case.
Barbourville police tell us they have no reason to believe Foley has left Knox County.
