Hansen Signs With Iowa State Gymnastics Team - Iowa State ...

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State head gymnastics coach Jay Ronayne announced Wednesday that Allison Hansen from United Gymnastics Academy in Frankfurt, Ill., has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Cyclones for the 2013-14 season.

Hansen is a two-time level 10 Junior Olympic National Championships qualifier.? In 2011, Hansen placed third in the all-around, second on bars, third on vault, fourth on beam and fourth on floor at the Illinois state championships.? The Orland Park, Ill., native placed seventh on beam at the 2010 Junior Olympic National Championships after taking fourth in the all-around and third on bars at the Region 5 championships the same year. ?Hansen also took fourth on vault and fifth on floor at the Region 5 championships in 2010.

Ronayne is excited to add Hansen to the Cyclone gymnastics team.

"Allie is a beautiful and athletic gymnast who will be a huge asset to the Cyclone team," Ronayne said.? "The club she comes from has given her a solid foundation for her to launch a fantastic career at Iowa State.? I can't wait for her to join us next season. "

Hansen comes to Iowa State from a club that has produced 12 Division I gymnasts since 2007, including Kylee Botterman who won the 2011 all-around national championship for Michigan.
